The sunny Spanish climate makes Barcelona perfect for a girls only trip at any time of year, but what to do when you get there?
Culture and Cocktails
Us girls love a bit of culture, so the Picasso Museum is a must do. The Barcelona Bus Turistic is also fantastic for jumping on, spotting all of the Antoni Guadi sights, including the stunning Sagrada Familia church and the architectural wonders up the Passieg de Gracia.
Once you’re feeling suitable cultured, it has to be cocktail o clock. Head for Boadas at Tallers 1, for the best daiquiris, or chill out of low slung sofas while sipping your mojitos in the Bambu Lounge on Vallfogona 23. The World’s Best Bars website is a great place to find all the best cocktail spots in the city, so you and the girls can find your own favourite.
No girly break away is complete without checking out the shopping scene and Barcelona’s is truly amazing. Find designer boutiques up the Passeig de Gracia, shop in Spain’s biggest department store on the Placa de Catalunya, and browse tiny trinkets and treats in the atmospheric Gothic Quarter. It’s impossible to leave Barca empty handed so don’t even try to resist temptation ladies.
With beach front bars, boats trips, spas, shopping and culture, it doesn’t get much better than Barca for a girly weekend away. So grab the girls and book those flights!
